Personal data
This page describes what the program does. It was written based on the code, not by a lawyer. If anything is unclear, write to support@moldaid.app.
What we store
- Your account: email address, and your name and company if you entered them. Your password is never stored — only a scrypt hash that cannot be used to reconstruct it.
- Waitlist: with your consent, we store your name, email, company, optional note, language, date and invitation status so we can contact you about access. Invitation links expire after 14 days. Declining an entry immediately erases its personal details. To leave the waitlist, reply to our email or write to support@moldaid.app.
- Your parts: the STEP file you upload, the settings you chose, and the resulting report and mold files.
- Your printers, if you have added any.
How long
Parts and mold files are automatically deleted 30 days after they are uploaded. The date is shown on each part while it is stored. Your account stays until you ask otherwise.
Who can see it
Your parts are yours. Every download is checked to confirm that the job is yours — files are not stored at a public path that someone could guess. We do not share geometry with anyone.
Tracking
We use first-party site statistics and anonymous, aggregated click heatmaps to improve MoldAid based on legitimate interest; heatmaps contain no account or session IDs, IP addresses, text, or mouse movements, and you can turn click statistics off in your account settings.
The site loads nothing from outside. Even the fonts are on our own server — they were previously loaded from Google Fonts, which let Google see every visitor's IP address. That has been changed, not explained away.
Do you want your data deleted
Write to support@moldaid.app from the email address on your account, and your account, parts, and files will be removed.
